Premier HVAC Services is hiring a Lead Installer to oversee residential heating and cooling installations while delivering a 5-star customer experience every single time. 💼 Position Overview
The Lead Installer is responsible for managing the full installation process for residential HVAC systems — from warehouse prep to final walkthrough. You’ll lead an Installation Assistant, ensure jobs are completed efficiently and correctly, and serve as the primary point of contact for the homeowner during the project.
This is a leadership role — not just a wrench-turning position.
✅ Who We’re Looking For
🎓 Certifications Required
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification
- NATE Installation Certification (Heat Pump or Gas Heating preferred)
🚗 Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and ductwork
🛠 Experience
- 2+ years residential HVAC installation experience
- Experience leading or mentoring other installers preferred
- Proven ability to complete installations with minimal callbacks

🔑 Key Responsibilities
🔧 Installation Excellence
- Install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, zoning systems, ductwork, and related components
- Ensure every installation meets local code and company standards
- Perform system startup, testing, and customer walkthrough
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
👷 Leadership
- Lead and train an Installation Assistant
- Delegate tasks and maintain job site efficiency
- Ensure KPIs are met (crew efficiency, low callback ratio, low warranty cost)
- Maintain organized trucks, tools, and materials
🤝 Customer Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact during installation
- Deliver a clean, professional, “cleaner-than-we-found-it” job site
- Educate homeowners on system operation
- Use our Golden Ticket service recovery policy when appropriate to ensure customer satisfaction
💰 Compensation & Growth
$30–$34/hr based on tier level
$200 Equipment Bonus

These values were instilled in us by our founder from the first day we started in business serving Chambersburg, PA and throughout South-Central Pennsylvania.

Our History
Tim Stenger, our owner and operator, first developed an interest in heating and air conditioning when he was a student at Greencastle-Antrim High School. In 1997 he began to study HVAC through the Franklin County Career and Technology Center. Through his time in the field as a student and apprentice, he found he enjoyed the technical challenges in a hands-on environment. He attended Delaware Technical College to pursue a professional career in heating, ventilation, and cooling. Tim earned an Associate Degree and then worked in the resort region of the Delmarva Peninsula. Such a fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on customer service helped Tim increase his skills even further.
Tim moved back to Greencastle to be closer with his family in 2010. After he noticed the community needed a local HVAC company able to provide on-time quality service, he developed a business plan. In 2012, that plan turned into Premier HVAC Services.
